HISTORY CLASS

Circa 1946 the Sylvania Station Post Office was moved from inside Scott’s Drug Store (now Momma Mia) to a new home at 2925 Race Street. At that time, the majority of the street was still used for residential purposes although some of the buildings were beginning their transition into the more commercial spaces recognizable today.

In ’68, The Post Office relocated again to Retta Street and the space became home to a medical device company. Over the last few years the space has been used as a pop-up event space and venue. Now, in 2019, we are really proud to be writing the next chapter in this amazing building’s history.
